安裝需要Delphi 2005 Architect的CD1和CD2。
升級時必須注意，在壓縮包內readme_first.txt中有說明（其實隻要你沒動過bds.exe.config，就不必考慮這個問題）：
The Update 3 patch may not update bds.exe.config if it has been modified since Update 2 was released. This also applies if you downloaded the bds.exe.config 'hotfix' for Update 2. As a result, you may see startup errors when launching the IDE.
Therefore, if you have modified bds.exe.config since Update 2, please make a backup copy before starting the Update 3 installation. After the Update 3 installation has completed, please copy the version of bds.exe.config included with this update to the location of the existing bds.exe.config, (typically C:\Program Files\Borland\BDS\3.0\bin\bds.exe.config).
