內容介紹：
西班牙語是西班牙的官方語言(español），也是拉丁美洲大多數國家的官方語言，聯合國的工作語言之一。此外，美國南部的幾個州、 菲律賓以及非洲的部分地區（包括赤道幾內亞、西撒哈拉以及西班牙的非洲領土部分休達和梅利利亞等地），也有相當數量的使用者。屬印歐語系中羅曼語族西支。西班牙語（español或castellano），即卡斯蒂利亞語，是世界第3大語言，也有資料說是第2大或第4大語言。在七大洲中，約有億到五億人使用，其中絕大部分在拉丁美洲國家。很多說西班牙語的人把他們的語言稱為西班牙語（español），而很多說其他語言的西班牙人稱西班牙語為卡斯蒂利亞語（castellano）。另一方面，拉美國家的人更喜歡español這個詞因為castellano聽起來更像是一個民族，而不是一種語言。說英語的人稱西班牙語為Spanish，就是español的英譯。
