發行商Namco Bandai宣布，備受期待的動作RPG大作《黑暗之魂：迎接死亡版》（Dark Soul: Prepare to Die Edition）將於8月24日登陸PC。
本作將支持Games For Windows Live，但沒有提到主機上的DLC會不會包括在內。在PC版中有如下新增內容：
新的Boss - 包括深淵巨魔、墓穴奇美拉等等
PVP在線配對系統 - 為合作模式或PVP准備的快速配對系統
新的區域 – 包括奧萊塞爾墓穴、古代廢墟等等
