對於理解warcraft世界必須掌握的一些概念
　　warcraft的宇宙是由無數的世界組成；這些世界又都是由叫做扭曲虛空（Twisting Nether）的死亡領域相連接；在扭曲虛空的世界裡到處都是惡魔的身影(包括可怕的燃燒軍團Burning Legion)；守護者Guardians(對於這種生命體，我們還知之甚少)為了遠離扭曲虛空，在艾澤拉斯大陸上建立了提瑞斯法文明。；在這之後過了大約1000年，守護者把手中的文明傳給了他們的後代 。
