InstallBuilder 7 makes it easier than ever to build crossplatform installers for your software. The 7.0 release focuses on improving ease of use of InstallBuilder and includes expanded documentation, the ability to view and edit XML snippets directly via the GUI development environment and features that simplify the process of packaging Java-based applications.
Expanded Documentation: While we pride ourselves on providing fast, friendly and effective customer support, we know that you would prefer to get instant answers to your questions on how to develop with InstallBuilder. With that in mind, we have nearly doubled the size of the InstallBuilder User Guide to provide a complete resource for all of the properties, actions, rules, variables and other features of InstallBuilder. Built in variable and action browsers make locating the right functionality easier than ever.
Java-Specific Functionality: A significant portion of InstallBuilder customers ship Java applications, so we have added new features to simplify the process. InstallBuilder 7 now automates the process of bundling a JRE and creating native launchers for Java applications. InstallBuilder also includes built-in functionality for auto-detecting a Java runtime.
Improved Usability: We're always looking for ways to make it easier to build crossplatform installers with InstallBuilder. The 7.0 release adds a search function that allows you to search for rules and actions within the InstallBuilder GUI development environment, saving you from having to check the documentation. It also adds the ability to view and edit project file XML snippets directly from the GUI.

BitRock InstallBuilder is a development tool for building crossplatform
installers for desktop and server software. With InstallBuilder, you can
quickly create professional installers for Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris
and other platforms from a single project file and build environment. In
addition to installers, InstallBuilder will generate RPM and Debian packages
and multiplatform CDs/DVDs. Its new automatic update functionality makes it
easy to deliver updates directly to your users once they have your software
installed.
