n-Track Studio提供了多音軌錄音的功能，它最大的特色是允許在單一的WAV與MIDI中，在不同的音軌上加入特效與混音，然後轉換成一般的WAV或 MIDI或者時下流行的MP3格式，讓所有音軌上的聲音可做同時播放。這樣的好處可以針對某一音軌做單獨的修改，例如換掉背景音樂、抽掉某些雜音、或者在加些音效，對日後的編修與維護來說相當方便。
在操作接口上，n-Track Studio將聲波圖形化，因此很容易就可以從波形中獲得某個區段的取樣頻率、分辨率以及聲道參數等相關信息。
在錄制能力方面，n-Track Studio提供了24bit高品質的音樂分辨率，它的雙工設計可以讓你在錄制某一音軌的同時，聽到其它音軌中的聲音，同時對於和音、合唱、振音等特效，也都有實時試聽與細部調整的功能，可以省下許多不斷嘗試與修改的處理時間。
要發揮n-Track Studio強大的功能，必須要有全雙工的聲卡(n-Track Studio可支持多塊聲卡，讓你同時輸入不同的聲音來源)，而且操作系統中要裝有Microsoft的DirectX Media Runtime與Common Controls Update，若需更詳細的相關資料，可以參閱Help檔及F.A.Soft的網站。
n-TrackStudio新版軟件增加了ASIO支持。ASIO設備驅動當前主要應用於高品質聲卡，使得錄放音所需的處理時間遠短於標准的Windows驅動。由於等待時間大大縮短，象調整某軌音量或某一插入效果參數幾乎立即就能聽到結果，使用軟件程序的感覺就像操作硬件調音台一般。短到以毫秒計的等待時間同時造成了即時處理樂器演奏的可能，例如將吉他接到聲卡的輸入，加上失真插件（plug-in），就可以錄音和通過電腦音箱監聽，用不著吉他擴音器或接線盒。
