Mathematica是由美國物理學家Stephen Wolfram領導的Wolfram Research開發的數學系統軟件。它擁有強大的數值計算和符號計算能力，在這一方面與Maple類似，但它的符號計算不是基於Maple上的，而是自己開發的。
　　Mathematica的基本系統主要是用C語言開發的，因而可以比較容易地移植到各種平台上，Mathematica是一個交互式的計算系統，計算是在用戶和Mathematica互相交換、傳遞信息數據的過程中完成的。Mathematica系統所接受的命令都被稱作表達式，系統在接受了一個表達式之後就對它進行處理，然後再把計算結果返回。Mathematica對於輸入形式有比較嚴格的規定，用戶必須按照系統規定的數學格式輸入，系統才能正確地處理，不過由於3.0以上版本引入輸入面板，並且可以修改、重組輸入面板，因此以前版本輸入指令時需要不斷切換大小寫字符的繁瑣方式得到很好的改善。3.0以上版本可以用各種格式保存文件和剪貼內容，包括RTF、HTML、BMP等格式。

Mathematica可以做許多符號演算工作：它能進行多項式的計算、因式分解、展開等。進行各種有理式計算，求多項式、有理式方程和超越方程的精確解和近似解。進行數值的或一般代數式的向量、矩陣的各種計算。求極限、導數、積分，冪級數展開，求解某些微分方程等。Mathematica還可以做任意位數的整數或分子分母為任意大整數的有理數的精確計算，做具有任意位精度的數值(實、復數值)的計算。所有Mathematica系統內部定義的整函數、實(復)函數也具有這樣的性質。使用Mathematica可以很方便地畫出用各種方式表示的一元和二元函數的圖形。通過這樣的圖形，我們可以立即形象地把握住函數的某些特性，而這些特征一般很難從函數的符號表達式中看清楚。

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Unrar, Burn or mount with Daemon Tools.
2. Run setup.exe to install Mathematica 6
3. When asked to enter your license information select later, and
press finish.
4. Run Mathematica 6, select single machine, enter your name and
organization, and use the keygen located in the EDGE dir to
generate your license info.
5. Enjoy
PS. The splash screen is hardcoded to say PRODUCT TRIAL but this
is a full pro version, that never expires and has all features
enabled.
