All books in the Top 21 are available as audio books and in braille, thanks to the Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) and the National Library for the Blind (NLB) respectively.
據英國BBC報道，每個民族都有自己最喜愛的作家和作品。BBC最近通過民意評選選出100部英國人最喜歡的文學作品。此次評選吸引了140000人參加投票，是上次BBC組織的“百大英國偉人”投票人數的4倍。在“百大作品”的名單上，有文學典籍，也有暢銷書目，但是有一點是可以肯定的，大家喜歡的作品一般都有一個好的情節構架。
狄更斯有5部作品入選名單，使他成為得票數最多的作家。緊隨其次的是因為《哈利·波特》系列走紅的羅琳。喬治·奧維爾的《動物莊園》和《1984》都獲得了相當的票數，使其成為最受喜愛的政治小說家。而浪漫小說中得票最多的是艾米麗·伯郎蒂的《呼嘯山莊》。其他得票較多的書籍還有傑弗裡·阿徹的《凱恩與亞伯》和詹姆斯·喬伊斯的《尤利西斯》。

而我發此貼的目的是想讓更多的朋友多讀書，
讀好書，特別是稍微懂點英語的朋友應盡量去讀
一些原版書，有些翻譯得不好的作品，讀不出原著感覺。
