作者簡介:
  本書作者Nicholas T. Proferes是哥倫比亞大學藝術學院電影專業的教授,執教超過25年。他在電影領域的專業涉及面非常廣,曾在紀錄片和故事片中擔任導演、攝影師、剪輯師、制片人等職務。通過多年的教學與研究,他提出了通過戲劇單元、敘事節拍(導演節拍)和戲劇性場面環繞的支點來組織動作的電影導演方法,著眼於首先明確故事(劇本檢查工作),然後幫助導演編排故事前進及戲劇發展來訓練導演在情緒上吸引觀眾的能力。
