The last we saw of developer Bryan Wiegele, he was skulking around the haunted corridors of Inherent Evil: The Haunted Hotel. Apparently possessed by the hotel抯 evil demons (or maybe he was lost in that freakin?stair maze ), Bryan crossed over to the dark side for a few years, working on console games like the cult classic Whiplash.
Now he has returned to the adventure community in a big way and Just Adventure is proud to announce his newest project, Delaware St. John, Volume 1: The Curse of Midnight Manor.
Delaware St. John Volume 1: The Curse of Midnight Manor is the first of a projected ten-title series that introduces players to Delaware St. John, a young man with a psychic gift that allows him to see images of past and future events. Lately, Delaware has been plagued by nightmares and visions that lead him to the decrepit remains of Morrisville Manor, or as the locals refer to it; Midnight Manor. As soon as he s behind closed doors he begins seeing images of people, glimpses of lost souls that need his help. Something dark lurks in the shadows of the rotting building, something that is determined to keep Delaware from breaking the Curse of Midnight Manor.
Delaware will not travel through his adventure alone. Just a few months before, he partnered with a young woman named Kelly Bradford who had been running her own paranormal investigation firm. From the office above her bookstore Kelly is able to research leads and stays in contact with Delaware through a communication device known as VIC. VIC is capable of voice communication as well as recording images and sounds to transfer back to Kelly for analysis.
The ultimate goal of the series is to lead Delaware and Kelly through a sequence of incredible journeys that will eventually reveal the true purpose of Delaware s powers and lead to the final confrontation between good and evil. -----by Randy Sluganski
