美國加洲，洛杉矶——SIGGRAPH 2005盛會第1529號展廳，NewTek有限公司，作為一家3D動畫和視頻產品的制造商，今天正式發布了LightWave 3D 9.0版本。NewTek開發人員重新編寫和構建LightWave的內核，將網格編輯功能加入到Layout模式中，並增強Modeler模式中的工具；從Layout模式中提取渲染器，重新編寫光線跟蹤方法，使它具有更快速的算法；基於到攝像機的距離和可見性改寫網格細分。Modeler的工具箱已經被升級使它具有實邊，細分表面已經被重新啟動來改善處理過程並支持多次細分。
