A completely different way to think about industrial design
thinkiD DesignXpressions™ delivers on the promise of "Target-Driven Design." Radically new, you can break free from the technology constraints of traditional computer-based systems. To begin, designers assign targets. These can be points, curves and even a desired reflection light you want to see on a shape. With thinkiD DesignXpressions, you can focus exclusively on product shape and express yourself in your own way. The technology then automatically translates the design intent into engineering models for analysis and manufacture, eliminating the math hurdle.

Product design divides into three distinct phases: A) the initial conceptualization and design, modification aimed at exploring new solutions, and C) completion (product engineering) to fine-tune the product to engineering constraints + design completion for manufacturing.
