《神探俏佳人，（Nancy Drew）》系列作最新一部的作品中，Nancy 為了必要的放鬆重回到自己的家鄉，只不過在她抵達後不久鄉公所就被人縱火而燒毀了。透過她的朋友 Bess 與 George 以及男朋友 Ned 的幫忙，Nancy 著手調查這場縱火案的不尋常之處，並設法洗刷被當成是嫌疑犯的污名，只是同時間，她也離這個鄉鎮企圖隱藏的黑暗機密越來越接近。
