《狂怒(Rage)》是曾經開發《雷神之錘》系列的著名游戲開發商id Software所開發的一款全新FPS游戲，該游戲是采用id Software下一代3D引擎——id Tech 5——的第一款作品，故事發生在後啟示錄時代，美國西南部的馬路英雄背景下。
《狂怒》是一部後啟示錄風格的射擊游戲，游戲畫面能夠讓你聯想到同類型的《無主之地》和《輻射3》。游戲中，你將扮演“Ark”計劃中的成員。該計劃中的人們是人類為了免遭小行星的撞擊導致物種滅絕而專門挑選出的精英分子，他們住在地下某個較安全的地區。Ark成員的任務就是當地表冷卻下來之後重建整個地球。但是，事情還是出了些岔子。有些人在這場災難中活下來了，但還有一部分人卻突發了變異，社會一片混亂。重見天日之後，游戲主角會發現 一切都不是很順利。
自《狂怒》第一次闖入玩家的眼球，我們就意識到了它絕對是一款FPS佳作，同時還是一款你不一定能輕松駕馳的硬件殺手。該游戲采用了全新的IDTech5引擎，而我們已經看到的《邊緣戰士Brink》使用的是低一代的IDTech4引擎，這將體現了《狂怒》在引擎技術上的領先程度。
