1990年，中央人民廣播電台開始播送由賴世雄老師播講的《美國英語教程》。在這套教程廣播的10年間，賴老師影響了眾多學習英語的人士，這套教程也被公認為是“最佳英語學習有聲讀物之一”。2008年，《賴世雄美語從頭學》在原有的基礎上進行全新改版。賴世雄老師為此特邀了了發音純正的Jennifer、 以及目前仍在台灣大學外文系任教的美籍老師 Bruce Bagnell一起逐課錄制講解。配合隨書攜帶的有聲課程使用，學習效果將更加出色。
